What is a Lingual Brace?
Lingual braces are actually a type of fixed brace, however, lingual braces are attached to the back of the teeth rather than the front, which means they are hidden.Because lingual braces are not visible they are ideal for adults or older teenagers who are concerned about the appearance of traditional fixed braces.
When having lingual braces as part of your orthodontic treatment plan, be prepared to take a few weeks to get used to eating and speaking, but most patients find they are used to the braces after a few weeks.
